Table Chatter

Why are you touching your penis? That's the question Micah bellowed to Elias while we were having lunch at Sticky Fingers. Surprised laughter and gasps of horror erupted from the table behind us.

It's like he took, U Can't Touch This, as his personal challenge.

Today we were in the Dollar Store and I tell him to get his hands out of his pants. He says to me, "You mean out of my underwear."

Oh, how I do love that child!

What's that you say?

Me, back? But of course, my loves! You know how we roll around here. I pop in for a bit, with high hopes of keeping up. Then I slink back to my real life hole, once again abandoning my grandiose idea of a daily blog entry.

And since I should be dressed and on my way out, that's all for now!

A first

Elias just yanked his sweaty socks off and told Micah to smell them. For the first time ever, Micah refused to give into his sensory seeking self and said, "No, they probably stink."

I can't believe it.

Oh and I also bought myself 2 pairs of socks. Another first. Anyone who knows me knows that I do not wear socks with my shoes, ever. That lends itself to a whole other world of stink. Ha.

And who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

Cockroach

The kids play this ridiculous game in which one of them is the cockroach and the other the squisher. They use one of those hoppy balls that you sit on, to whack the roach victim on the head. It's awesome, because a kid will be sitting unsuspecting and the other comes screaming, "You're a cockroach!"  Thwack.

They also fight over who gets to pick up the dead bugs they find.

Before anyone calls the authorities on me, we do not live with a ton of bugs.  Apparently though, roach killing is pretty high up there on the entertainment list.

Pizzaz

Micah is without a doubt my Broadway child. He is always singing, dancing and improvising. The child doesn't care if he looks silly and thrives on being the center of attention. I come out of the bathroom from showering Elias to M in his star glory. He said he was singing us a hotdog song. I should have recorded it.

Here Again

I am so bad at this blogging thing. Pre-kids I was awesome at maintaining my stuff and keeping up wit the latest and greatest widgets and such. Yeah, not so much these days.

Here I go again on my own.. Not really, but let's try this again.

A Typical Convo With Elias

Me: Elias, stop talking to the placemat and eat your food.

Elias: I not talking to the placemat. (giggles maniacally as if I'm a nutjob for saying such a thing) I talking to these. *points to 3 jellybeans*
