fun with bean dip

Elias is very serious when it comes to his food. He went to town on the bean dip and corn chips I made for lunch the other day. His sweet little mouth smelled like garlic and onions for quite sometime.

Elias' words

Elias is quite the little chatterbox. As if I need two children talking my ear off. If he isn't babbling away, he is singing some random song. He is quite a fan of Alicia Keys, and sings, "No one, no one", over and over. He does it in this high, sing songy, delicate baby voice and it is SO cute! His other favorite tunes are anything by Dan Zanes and Firecracker. He starts tapping and marching his chubby little feet as fast as he can when it comes on. To be quite honest, Dan Zanes is the one who taught him how to sing Twinkle Twinkle.

He also does several signs. He used to scream at me constantly when he wanted something. That got old quick. Since E thinks Micah is the coolest ever, he was more than happy to do the signs once Micah told him to. They are very cute together. It was really sweet to watch M teaching E how to do them. Both of them were proud to be working together.

Both of them use the signs for water, please and eat on a daily basis. Micah has continued to sign please since he first learned it around 15 mos.

Micah: Mom, we don't eat boogers, right?

Me: Right, Micah. Boogers are yucky. You tell mommy if you have a booger and I'll get it.

Micah: Mom, boogers is gross?

Me: Yes, Micah. They're gross. GET YOUR FINGER OUT OF YOUR NOSE!

Micah: Mommy. You take me to the doc'r?

Me: Why, Baby?

Micah: I ate 'da booger and I need a doc'r cut it out my tummicks, (a mix of the word tummy and stomach) .

Calgon take me away

I want a sick day. Right now, I wish I had a 9-5 instead of a 24hr job. As I type, Elias is nursing and Micah is crashing cars. My fever is 104 and I still have to keep it together. My head is swimming and I ache all over.

 Irrationally, I am angry at Robert for not coming home to help. Or maybe I'm pissed b/c he gets to go to dr appts, gas stations, the dentist, fill in the blank without packing cups, snacks, diapers and other crap to entertain the kids.

Being a domestic goddess can kiss my arse today.
